Back to School HQ

Welcome to Snyder ISD!  Whether you are a new student or a returning student, we are glad to have you in the Tiger family. We've gathered all the information you need to get set for the school year.  In the Back to School HQ page, will find information for new student registration, returning student registration and important links. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out by calling your student's campus or the district office at 325-574-8900, or email questions@snyderisd.net.

Last minute reminders! 

Welcome back students! Here are a few last minute reminders:

Be sure to allow for extra time and patience tomorrow morning. Students in grades 4-12, remember to wear your mask. Masks are optional for students in grades PreK-3. We will take student temperatures prior to boarding the bus and exiting the vehicle. High school students will be screened at the entrance to the building.

Snyder Primary School: On-Campus students 25% of students each day - families chose their day in their teacher conference. Virtual students, you received instructions from your child's teacher. If you have not been in contact with your child's teacher, please contact the school Tuesday.

Snyder Intermediate School: On-Campus students 25% of students each day - families chose their day in their teacher conference. Virtual students, you received instructions from your child's teacher. If you have not been in contact with your child's teacher, please contact the school Tuesday

Snyder Junior High School: On-campus and virtual students begin school at 100% each day. Virtual students, be sure to check your school email for instructions and google classroom codes. If you are having difficulty, please email shjdeans@snyderisd.net and they can assist you with the codes. Snyder High School: On-campus students will attend school one day this week, according to their grade.

  • Tuesday: Seniors
  • Wednesday: Juniors
  • Thursday: Sophomores
  • Friday: Freshman

If you are a high school student attending school virtually, we will have a meeting for each grade level this week at 4:30 in the auditorium on the day your grade level is assigned to attend school. This is to make sure each student has technology and understands how virtual school will work.

All students:

Don't forget to bring a refillable water bottle as water fountains are closed.

Parents and students, be sure to check your email and ParentSquare, as we are sending out specific information through these channels of communication.

On-Campus & Virtual Options

For the 2020-2021 school year, Snyder ISD will offer an on-campus option and a virtual school option for students because of the the COVID-19 pandemic. During the registration process, you will select the option that best meets the needs of your family. 

Snyder ISD is excited to be a 1:1 technology district for the 2020-2021 school year! Each student in grades PreK-12 will be issued an electronic device to use for school during the year. Snyder ISD uses iPads, Chromebooks, and MacBooks both in the classroom and for online learning.  This will allow us to better meet the needs of students enrolled in virtual school and quickly switch to a 100% virtual environment if needed. 


RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION

Returning student registration opens on Wednesday, July 15th. This registration process will be conducted using your Skyward Family Access credentials.

For the 2020-2021 school year, Snyder ISD will offer an in-school option and a virtual school option for students because of the the COVID-19 pandemic. During the registration process, you will select the option that best meets the needs of your family.

All campuses will require completed registration before student schedules/homerooms and technology items are given to the students.

After completing the initial paperwork, you will be provided Skyward access to complete registration.


NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, JULY 6, 2020. YOU MAY COME ANYTIME BETWEEN 8AM-3PM, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. PLEASE COME TO THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AT 2901 37TH ST. AND ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, YOU MAY CALL THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE AT 325-574-8900.

DOCUMENTS TO BRING:

  • BIRTH CERTIFICATE
  • SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
  • IMMUNIZATION RECORD
  • PARENT / GUARDIAN IDENTIFICATION
  • PROOF OF RESIDENCY(EXAMPLE: UTILITY BILL (GAS, WATER, ELECTRIC) WITH CURRENT ADDRESS LISTED)
  • PROOF OF GUARDIANSHIP (IF NOT PARENT)
  • PROOF OF INCOME (PREK ONLY) VISIT THE PRE-K PAGE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

STUDENTS MUST BE 4 YEARS OLD (PRE-K)* OR 5 YEARS OLD (KINDER) BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 TO BE ELIGIBLE.

DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Before each school year, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community members, Snyder ISD, Snyder Community Resource Center and Snyder ISD ACE host the Annual Back to School Bash

Because of COVID-19, this year's event will look a little different.  To make the Back to School Bash as safe and as easy as possible, while getting you set for school, we have set up a reservation system!  During the online student registration process, you will be provided a link to make a reservation for the Bash!  You can reserve your time at one of TWO locations: SISD Bus Barn or Snyder Junior High School. 


Technology 

1:1 District

Snyder ISD is excited to be a 1:1 technology district for the 2020-2021 school year! Each student in grades PreK-12 will be issued an electronic device to use for in school or at home learning. This initiative will be critical for virtual and on-campus learners to remain connected to the classroom and have access to innovative learning opportunities. Additionally, this will allow us to switch quickly to a 100% virtual environment temporarily if needed.
