As many of you are aware, House Bill 2 (HB 2) introduced much-needed funding adjustments and allotments that will help school districts across Texas improve compensation for teachers and staff. This is a positive step forward, and we’re grateful for the recognition of the important work happening in schools across the state.
You may have seen announcements from some districts that have already released updated compensation plans. Snyder ISD follows a September–August budget cycle, which means our compensation adjustments must align with that timeline and will go before our Board of Trustees in the months ahead.
We’re currently working closely with Mr. Robert Helms (Director of Finance) and Dr. Kalum McKay (Director of Human Resources) to thoroughly review the details of HB 2 and determine the best way to bring forward recommendations for Board consideration in July. Our goal is to maximize every dollar to benefit both our staff and our students.
We know how important this is to you, and we promise to keep you informed every step of the way. Thank you for your continued commitment and for all that you do to support our students and one another.
Sincerely,
Bob Rauch
Superintendent of Schools
