Snyder Junior High girls' basketball teams had their last tournaments this weekend.
The 7th-grade A team won all three games in the Merkel tournament going 3-0!
The 8th-grade girls did excellent as well. Although they ended the tournament 1-2, all of the games were nailbiters. Coach Maldonado said, "They worked hard and played tough competition. They gave it their all, and we couldn't be more proud of them!"
The girls' teams have 3 more games left in the season. Monday is their last home game against Sweetwater. Come out and support these hardworking student-athletes!

Sixth grade students in Ms. Wells’ STEM class were asked “How can we provide a safe, efficient, and temporary source of electricity to a remote area?”
Each group was assigned a location and a disaster. Next, students designed portable power prototypes to demonstrate their solution. Here is a peek at the process.

📚 Every two weeks, students at Snyder Junior High visit the library during their English class. They are able to pick out two books each. If you have a student at the junior high, ask about the books they are reading!
Independent reading improves comprehension for students and helps them develop their vocabulary. We are fortunate to have an inspiring library space at SJH with a variety of books for students to choose from!
