SHS Yearbook Order Increase On Saturday, February 24

SHS: The cost of the 2017-18 Tiger's Lair will increase to $65 on Saturday! All SHS students have received an order form but just in case you misplaced yours, you can order online at If you choose to, you can pay for it at school by Friday at 3:30. A deposit of $30 can be made with the balance due April 1. Can't remember if you have already placed an order? No worries! You can call 574-8835 to see if an ordered has been made in your name. SISD STAAR CAMP Featured Photo


SISD will host 2 STAAR Camp days during the month of February. If your student is a current 3rd-12th grader and is required to attend the STAAR Camp, you should have received an invitation in the mail. Students that did not receive an invitation will not attend school on STAAR Camp days. Please direct your questions and concerns to your student's campus administrators. *Busses will run as usual. *ACE- There will be no AM or PM ACE at SPS SJHS and SIS will have normal AM & PM ACE *SHS will have CLOSED CAMPUS! SHS Students will need to provide or pay for their lunch.

Several parents have expressed their concerns in regards to the recent flu epidemic. Please take a few minutes to review the information provided by the SISD nursing staff. How does the flu spread? What are the symptoms? How can I protect my child? These are just a few of the questions answered in the attached article. Your student's well-being is a top priority at SISD. Don't Get ZAPPED At SHS!

The staff and faculty at SHS are working diligently to ensure that all students reach their academic goals. Students are highly encouraged to take advantage of the programs made available. The ZAP program "Zeros Aren't Permitted" is assigned to students that have zeros. Students with zeros are required to attend the Wednesday study hall in order to complete the assignments. ZAP is held in the student center during lunch.

We hope you have had a fantastic three day weekend! All campuses will resume regular schedules on Tuesday, Jan. 16th. Although some schools across Texas have already deemed it necessary to delay or canceledl classes, SISD has not been effected by the severe winter weather. In the event that a delay or cancelation occurs, SISD will make that announcement on the SISD FB, SISD Website, SISD Twitter and local radio stations on the day of the cancellation. A skylert will also be sent to all SISD student households. If you have changed your contact information, please notify your student's campus (asap) during school hours. Bundle up and take your time as you head out the door! Have a great week!
