Snyder, Texas—Snyder ISD Superintendent Bob Rauch announced he has extended an offer to Anthony Gonzales to become the Snyder Tigers' next Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. Mr. Rauch will present his recommendation to the Board of Trustees at their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, May 9th.

Coach Gonzales will return to Texas after eight successful years in Lovington, New Mexico. In Texas, he served as the defensive coordinator and head track coach for Fort Worth Dunbar High School and football position coach, all-sport strength and conditioning coordinator, and assistant track coach for Arlington Martin High School.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I have offered the position of AD/HFC to Coach Gonzales, and he has accepted,” said Mr. Rauch. “He sets academics as a foundation for quality athletic success, is a proven leader, and has a strong background in physical training and building athletic programs. He and his wife, Jocelyn, an elementary school teacher, are looking forward to moving their family to Snyder. They have four school-aged daughters, and they are excited to be Snyder Tigers.”

Coach Gonzales plans to get right to work with coaches and student-athletes.
