This afternoon (Friday, January 31, 2025), Snyder High School was placed on a "Hold" status shortly before students were released for lunch. The hold was initiated following a report regarding concerning comments made by a student.  This measure allowed Snyder Police Department and Snyder High School Administration to immediately begin an investigation and interview individuals who may have witnessed the incident. All students and staff are safe, and the issue is being addressed.

The hold remained in place for approximately 18 minutes, causing a delay in the dismissal for lunch. To accommodate this delay, students were given an additional 10 minutes for lunch.
