The third annual Back to School Bash is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st from 8 am-3 pm. This year's bash will look a little different, with convenient drive-through stations! Join us as we team together with SISD ACE and Snyder Community Resource Center to kick start the 20-21 school year!

Pre-K and Kindergarten registration will be held June 22 - 25, 2020 at Snyder Primary School. We will follow CDC recommendations and limit the number of people who are in the building during registration. Monday, June 22: 9am - 3pm Tuesday, June 23: 9am - 3pm Wednesday, June 24: 12pm - 6pm Thursday, June 25: 9am-3pm Documents to Bring: Birth certificate Social Security card Immunization record Parent / guardian identification Proof of residency(example: utility bill (gas, water, electric) with current address listed). Are you the parent or legal guardian of a SISD student? Your feedback is incredibly important to us. Please take special notice of the Snyder ISD Parent Survey regarding the At-Home Learning Experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had to quickly adapt to a different method of instruction. We learned a lot through this process and are always looking to learn more. This survey should take you less than 5 minutes to complete and will help us learn more about the at-home learning experience. This will also help us prepare for a variety of scenarios for the 2020-2021 school year. This survey will close on June 5, 2020. Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application instructions from schools in early June. Families who received SNAP benefits for the month of March 2020 and have children 5-18 years old as of May 17, 2020, do not need to apply for those children. These families will receive P-EBT benefits on their current Lone Star Card by May 22. Families with children up to 21 years old who are certified to receive free or reduced-price meals during the 2019-20 school year need to apply for P-EBT. (This includes families who received SNAP benefits for the month of March 2020 and have children under 5 and between 19 and 21.) Your school district will send you a link to an online application by the first week of June. Once HHSC receives the application and verifies your eligibility with the school list, you will receive a Texas P-EBT card in the mail that includes P-EBT funds. Seniors, parents, & guardians: Please be advised! According to Governor Abbott's Executive Order, prior to participating, individuals must be screened (via questioning) by the school system employees for any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID19. Have you recently experienced: •Cough •Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing •Chills or Repeated shaking with chills •Muscle pain •Headache •Sore throat •Loss of taste or smell •Diarrhea •Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit •Known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19. Exposure to the active confirmed case occurred within the last 14 days. Those found with any of these signs or symptoms must be excluded from the activity.

SENIORS: If you are planning on purchasing your honor cords AT GRADUATION, you MUST have the exact CASH amount to pay ready. Change WILL NOT be made. If you do not have the correct amount ready in hand, you will need to turn in your cords at the graduation exit and will be able to purchase them next week beginning Tuesday, May 26 in the high school glass office. Prices of cords/stoles are as follows: Red, Green, Light Blue, Gold, or White - $10 EACH SHS/WTC Associate Stole - $20 NHS Stole - $25 Mrs. Walker will be at the exit (on the football field) to take payments.

Graduation Update! Please read carefully! Based on Governor Abbott’s order that was released on Monday, May 18, we are removing the limit on the number of people that may ride in the car with each graduate. Guests in the vehicle, with the exception of the designated driver, may accompany the graduate into Tiger Stadium to see their student walk the stage. A designated driver will remain in the vehicle at all times. The designated driver can be a neighbor, a friend, a church member, a co-worker, etc. Only one vehicle per graduate will be allowed. They will drop off the graduate and their party at the south gate. The group will need to remain together the entire time and will exit the northwest end of the stadium with the graduate to meet their driver. The plan listed below has been designed to honor Governor Abbott and Commissioner Morath’s graduation guidelines and social distancing guidelines from the CDC. Parade Line-Up: The parking lot opens at 6:00 PM. Graduate and their guests must arrive no later than 6:45 pm and park in their assigned parking spot in the South Parking Lot. Parking pass must be displayed in the windshield. 7 pm Parade Begins: Graduates must wear their cap and gown in the parade. Each graduate will receive 1 parade/parking pass. There is not a limit to the number of guests that may accompany the graduate in the vehicle for the parade. Please be safe. 1 vehicle (car/pick-up truck) per graduate (siblings may ride in the same vehicle) Decorated vehicles are allowed and encouraged Broadcast: KSNY/Big Star 101.5. KSNY will broadcast the parade on the radio and SISD Facebook live beginning at 7 pm. This will include the valedictorian/salutatorian speeches, school song, alma mater, and naming of the graduates. No candy may be thrown from vehicles. PARADE TRANSITION / GRADUATION Graduate drop-off and parking: At the end of the parade route, the graduate and their guests will exit the vehicle in the parking lot in the Southwest corner of Tiger Stadium. Graduate Line-Up: A SISD staff member will assist in lining up the graduates. Driver: A designated driver must remain in the vehicle and pick up the graduate and their guests at the Northwest corner of the football field. Guests: The guests will observe the graduate from a designated area on the track. Exiting the stadium: Family groups will be requested to leave the stadium in a timely manner, as other graduates will be arriving. Broadcast: The graduation ceremony will be broadcast on SISD facebook live and will be available for download, along with the parade broadcast following the ceremonies. NOTICE FROM UIL - 2020-2021 PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS For the 2020-21 school year only, any participant in athletics or marching band, in any grade level, who has not previously completed a preparticipation physical examination (PPE), and been cleared for participation, will be required to complete the medical history form as noted in the current rule, as well as a PPE prior to participation in any UIL practices, games, performances, or matches. UIL will be waving the physicals for this year only unless you have never had one, or have a previous concussion or other condition. You must fill out the Medical History form that can be found in your Arbiter account. There will be someone in the SISD Athletic Office located at 3901 Denison Ave beginning on Thursday, May 28th through June 4th. Please stop by if you need help with your Arbiter. If you are in need of a physical please contact Cogdell Hospital to set up an appointment. It will be free until July 31st.
